We’re living in an unprecedented, historic time. Never before has the whole world been dealing with the same problem, all at the same time. Even during WWI and WWII, only certain regions of the world were truly involved in battle. And several countries and continents had very little exposure to what was happening.
But now we’re all dealing with this pandemic health crisis and this economic tsunami. Everyone is or will be affected in some way. Unfortunately, many people are going to respond with worry. It seems so very natural and automatic. But it is not helpful. In fact, WORRY IS THE WORST POSSIBLE RESPONSE YOU CAN MAKE.
I want to help you get past any worry you might have and show you how to make better choices.
Below is a link to the audio version of Chapter 8 of my best-selling book, PIVOT: How One Turn In Attitude Can Lead To Success. Please accept this as a gift. May it bring you peace, comfort, and courage as we go through these tough times together.

MASSP will hold its first Virtual Conference in June. There is no cost and CEUs may be earned for participation. Virtual presentations/activities will be held the first two weeks of June. We have secured several national speakers who will share information with us on leadership, self-care, challenges from the virus and overall management skills as we move toward reopening schools.
MASSP has also created a library of materials (links below) so that you can focus on your personal/professional development outside of the regular school day as well. To qualify for 12 CEUs you will need to complete the "record of attendance" below and submit it to the MASSP office by the end of the month. Six events/activities are required to get renewal credits.
Please join your colleagues from across the state over these six days in June to learn, refresh and connect on ideas that will make us stronger leaders in August.

The operational definition of "equity" will include naming of barriers and identifying source narratives while dismantling them. Confirmation biases and microaggressions will also be discussed.
